Dr. Fuad Z. Khan

Dr. Fuad graduated from Dow Medical University, Karachi in 1994. Following his internship, he moved to the Republic of Ireland for Paediatric/Neonatology training where he completed the General Professional Training and was certified from Ireland in 1999.
Dr. Fuad earned a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (2000), and achieved MRCPCH from the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health, UK (2001).He also earned a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Paediatrics from the Medical Council of Ireland and from the General Medical Council, UK.
After considering his continuous Clinical & Academic work in the field of Paediatric/Neonatology, the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health, UK awarded Dr. Fuad the College's highest Certificate of FRCPCH in 2012.
Upon completing the Paediatric/Neonatology training in Ireland, due to Dr. Fuad’s immense interest in the sub-speciality of Neonatology , he went on to do Electives as Clinical Fellow in Neonatology from University of Calgary, Canada.
Dr. Fuad worked as Consultant in Sligo General Hospital, Ireland until the end of 2004. He later undertook the position of Consultant Paediatrician & Neonatologist in Saad Specialist Hospital, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia (2005 – 2007).
After serving in various prestigious institutions around the globe, Dr. Fuad initially joined Al Zahra Hospital in 2007 and planned, organized and upgraded Level II SCBU to 20 bedded Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with further expansion of Neonatal & Paediatric services including staff training.
Dr. Fuad then worked as a Consultant Neonatologist in Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital, UAQ. He rejoined as Consultant Paediatrician & Neonatologist in Al Zahra Hospital (2015), and was a member of Editorial Board of “B Positive”, an Al Zahra Hospital Publication.
Dr. Fuad organized teaching/training program in the field of Paediatrics & Neonatology and established Sharjah Paediatric Club. He was elected as a Chairman of the club, which became immensely popular and an accredited activity in Sharjah, Dubai & Northern Emirates.
Dr. Fuad has vast teaching experience, and various publications and presentations on credit. He also holds updated certification in Advanced Paediatric/Neonatal Ventilation, BLS, NRP, PALS and Paediatric/Neonatal Echocardiography.
Dr. Fuad speaks English, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic.
